Day-toDay Challenges Facing New Migrants in North East England in an Age of Austerity

In 2013, a group of asylum seeker, refugees and migrant workers living in the North East came together with film maker Elvis Katoto and academic and volutary sector organisations to produce a short film about the everyday challenges they Face. They are now showing the fim and everyone is welcome to attend. They particulary welcome migrants from Eastern or Central Europe, asylum seekers, refugees and front line practitioners working with members of these groups, to watch the fim and then take part in a focus discussion to compare the issues the film raises with your own experiences. This will contribute ro a written report and recommendations, to be distributed to policy makers and other key indiviuduals and organisations to inform efforts to improve policies and practices.
