"Advice Worker"
Refugee Integration and Employment Service (RIES)
Salary £19,431.00, 35 hours per week
The
advice worker will operates on a case work basis, providing advice on
welfare benefits, housing, education, training and employment, referring
service users to external agencies where appropriate. This service will be
delivered in NERS Middlesbrough office and on outreach basis from premises
of other partners’ organisations in
Successful
applicants will have a good working knowledge of the welfare benefits
system and experience of working in an advice giving environment.
Knowledge of supporting people within a mentoring, befriending or
volunteer context will be an advantage.
Applicants are expected to share NERS’
commitment to ensuring that refugees are given the right to equal access
to services and support and equal rights to participate in and contribute
to British Society.
