Gift Aid Explained
If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets you increase your donation to North of England Refugee Service, at no extra cost to you.
Gift Aid is a Government scheme allowing charities to reclaim tax already paid on donations they receive. Signing up means that for every £1 you give, North of England Refugee Service will receive an extra 25p back from HM Customs & Revenue.
Anyone can sign up for Gift Aid if they’ve paid tax equal to the amount we will reclaim. You can Gift Aid if you are retired too, as long as you have paid tax – for example, on a private pension plan.
To take part, just fill out a Gift Aid Declaration. You need separate permission to claim Gift Aid for each charity you support. If you fill out the declaration form today, we can reclaim tax on all eligible donations you’ve made to us in the past four years. It’s a great way to make an instant impact!
To find out more about Gift Aid, or to change your registration details, you can call us on 0191 245 7303 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
