The Angelou Centre in conjunction with an emerging region-wide network to end violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the North East of England are seeking to appoint the following…

Regional Coordinator

This post is to coordinate and develop a broadly based regional network for the specific purpose of lobbying and campaigning to end VAWG

20 hours per week, salary based upon NJC 38-40 (pro-rata) £33,680 plus pension at 5%

Regional Development Worker

This post is to strengthen North East BME Women’s Domestic Violence Forum-

Equivalent to 1 day per week worked flexibly (7.5 hours), salary based upon NJC 38 (0.1 FTE pro-rata) £33,680 plus pension at 5%

Both posts are regional and based in the Angelou Centre and for a fixed term contract of 2 years and 9 months. Applicants are invited to apply for both posts if desired.

The successful applicant(s) will be tenacious individuals who have experience of lobbying and campaigning, a commitment to feminist principles and approaches in relation to tackling VAWG and understanding of intersectionality as central to the pursuit of social justice and equality for women.

The closing date for applications is Friday 22nd August 2014 and short-listing will take place on Wednesday 27th August

Interviews will take place on Thursday 4th September and Wednesday 10th September 2014 at the Angelou Centre, 17 Brighton Grove, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE4 5NS
