The Forum aims to play an active role in promoting the integration of refugees in the North East by:
- Ensuring that the voiced experience of refugees is directly heard in the development of evidence-based policy and practice aimed at promoting integration across the region
- Providing an organised interface for refugee communities and the statutory, voluntary and private sectors
- Assisting in identifying unmet needs and barriers in access to service provision and in monitoring standards of service provision in the region towards the establishment of Good Practice and Best Value
- Providing a supportive and enabling role for existing and emerging refugee organisations in order to build capacity and self-organise.
